Materials and safety
Are Fenrici lunch boxes non-toxic?
Yes. Our insulated lunch boxes are made of non-toxic PEVA, a food-safe material that is BPA-free, lead-free, and phthalate-free.
What are the bento boxes made of?
Our kids' bento boxes are made from eco-friendly wheat straw. They are BPA-free, food-safe, leak-proof, and both dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe, with five compartments for a balanced lunch.
Does the bento box fit inside the lunch box?
Yes. The Fenrici bento box is sized to fit neatly inside the Fenrici insulated lunch box, so the whole lunch travels together.
Backpacks
Do the backpacks fit a laptop or Chromebook?
Yes. Every Fenrici backpack has a padded laptop compartment that protects a Chromebook, laptop, or tablet.
What size backpack should I get for my child?
It depends on their age and body size. See our full backpack size guide by age. As a quick rule, preschoolers use 11 to 12 inches, kindergarten to 2nd grade use 14 to 16 inches, grades 3-5 use 16 to 17 inches, and middle schoolers use 17 to 18 inches.
Do you make adaptive or wheelchair-friendly backpacks?
Yes. Our adaptive backpack line is designed for kids of all abilities, with wheelchair-friendly features and easy-access compartments.
How heavy should my child's backpack be?
No more than 10 to 15 percent of their body weight when full. Here is our guide to backpack weight, with a chart.
